What does it sound like?

What does love taste like? What does it sound like? These are things i used to think about... how do you know when you're in love?
"You'll know. One day. When you would do anything for them, no matter what, and you make sacrifices, and blahblahblahblah." My mother used to drone on. And i used to wonder, have you ever been in love mom? Cause when i look at her, I see a single mother, 35 years old, 4 kids, and different fathers. I think back to all the countless boyfriends she's had, and again, I question... have you ever been in love? Of course, who's to know?? Who ever can tell when they're in love? You develop intense feelings for someone... do you love them? You've been with someone for a really long time, and put up with their shit... do you love them? What is the difference between LOVING someone, and being IN LOVE? Well. At 17 years, 11 months and some amount of days, I can answer that question. It's going to sound generic, but the people who came up with the definition of love obviously felt it. They were in love with someone. And they tried their hardest to explain how it felt. Because when i try to explain how i feel about the man i'm in love with, I lose words. There are no correct words to describe my feelings. "One of the hardest things in life is having words in your heart that you can’t utter." – James Earl Jones. I can only try as best as humanly possible. Which brings me to my first point. Humanity. I'm convinced that Bradley Ott is an angel. There is no other way he could be so beautiful. And although he has many serious flaws, I still look at him and see the most beautiful person in the world. When I'm with him, i forget to breathe. I look into his eyes, and all the emotion in the world is concealed in those pretty hazel eyes, small black dot and all. He say's he's crazy. I've seen his crazy. He is literally. Insane. But I think that makes me love him all the more. Cause maybe I just found someone who's as crazy as me. Maybe we were put on this earth to save each other. I don't know, but in all his insanity, and all the things that make up his imperfections, make him perfect to me. And that is a quality of love. I could spend the rest of eternity with this boy. I get as overjoyed to see him after six hours as i do when i haven't seen him for two weeks. And that's something special. It's been awhile, and I am not sick of Bradley. We never run out of things to talk about. We could talk for hours an hours and hours, and still have things to say to each other. And that is another thing i love about him. And i'm convinced that every time I look into his eyes, I fall deeper in love with him or just in love with him over and over again. Because i've never felt such elation from just looking into a person's eyes. And that's how I know that this is true love. Because I fall in love with Bradley all over again every time I see him. And it makes my heart swell. I can LITERALLY FEEL my chest expanding with the growing of my heart. And i can feel it mending, because I know he loves me back. And when he seriously gets down on one knee one day and asks me to marry him, there will be no hesitation to say yes. Because when you are truly in love with someone, you're not afraid to make that step, to commit yourself to spending the rest of your waking hours with them. You're not afraid that maybe they won't love you when you're old and wrinkly, because you know they love you now, even when they've seen the worst of you. And me and Bradley have DEFINITELY seen the worst sides of each other. And we are still madly in love. "When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible." – When Harry Met Sally. And you bet everything you have that I'm ready to start the rest of my life with this boy. Bradley Robert Ott. HE is true love. <3

My Postage Stamp

My postage stamp is in Rensselaer, Indiana. Here, I experienced beauty. Here, I experienced love. And still do to this day. A tiny town in the middle of Indiana, not many people understand why i love it so much. I just can’t get enough of the endless beauty. The houses are old and run down, but they are cozy and safe. I was really shocked when i found out that people out there don’t lock their front doors when they leave. That’s super dangerous out here. There are alot of things out in that little town that are acceptable where, here in Chicago, would be unthinkable. And that’s what i love about that town. It’s quiet, it’s peaceful. Sometimes i forget to breathe when I’m there. It is my place of ultimate beauty, love and tranquility. Rensselaer is everything to me. There, I found my angel. Maybe that sounds weird, and maybe I don’t have to explain myself, but that is where I could spend the rest of my life. I’m so satisfied with the idea of raising kids and grandkids surrounded by the cornfields and abounding beauty. There is so much out there that we don’t see everyday here in Chicago. For example, we see and hear airplanes all day. In Rensselaer, all you see are birds. Birds with huge wingspans, soaring over the pond, little tiny, fluttering birds, and insects. Everywhere. All the time. Without being disturbed. That is their home, and it is mine. Home is where the heart is, and my heart is in Rensselaer, where I can see every star in the night sky, where I can breathe clean air and not think about everyday stress. That little town in Indiana, where the person I love the most shares a bed with me, and I can wake up to his angelic face in the morning. The place where I have to remind myself to breathe and that, yes, I am still alive and on Earth. That is the place I would go to spend all of my time. It’s my own little getaway, my small piece of heaven. And I would never leave if i didn’t have to. What is the definition of love, of beauty? It’s a small, passed up, run down town in the middle of Indiana, where the most wonderful beings on the Earth dwell. and i’m proud to call it home. <3
